Deliver exceptional nursing care to neonates in a dynamic, collaborative Neonatal Intensive Care Unit environment. As a key contributor to the care team, you will coordinate all aspects of nursing practice for critically ill newborns and their families. You will also be cross-trained and may occasionally provide coverage in the Pediatric unit.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • Demonstrated experience in neonatal intensive care
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Strong assessment, communication, and patient teaching abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience delegating duties to nursing assistants or ancillary staff
  • Flexibility to float to pediatric unit as needed
  • Schedule:

  • Contract-based role
  • Shift details provided upon interview
  • Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for NICU patients
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
  • Observe and document physiological changes and behavioral cues
  • Deliver compassionate support addressing psychosocial and developmental needs of neonates and their families
  • Provide education and training to parents and guardians regarding infant care
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary staff, ensuring compliance with their scope of practice
  • Maintain meticulous records and uphold rigorous safety standards
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and cross-training for coverage in the Pediatric unit as assigned
