Step into a dynamic emergency department and medical-surgical environment, contributing your expertise as a Registered Nurse on a dedicated night shift schedule (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., three 12-hour night shifts per week). This contract position embraces a rotational weekend schedule—6 weekend shifts in a 6-week cycle—and requires coverage for one shift of each major holiday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those presenting with chest pain, strokes, trauma, diabetes, abdominal pain, hypertension, mental health concerns, and more.
  • Manage and administer advanced drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed).
  • Float within the ER and to Medical-Surgical holds in SNU or ER, occasionally to affiliated ERs if needed.
  • Collaborate closely with a cohesive, long-tenured team and maintain clear communication with physicians, hospitalists, and support staff.
  • Utilize technology such as EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors.
  • Perform nurse-drawn phlebotomy and participate in telemetry monitoring within the ER setting.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Georgia.
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC and Emergency Nursing National Certification preferred, not required).
  • Competence in critical drips and emergency procedures; confident in reading cardiac strips.
  • Adaptable, professional demeanor and proven strength working in collaborative, fast-paced settings.
  • Comfortable with potential cross-facility floating as needed.
