Step into a vital role assisting surgical teams and helping deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Professionals with experience in Nursing - ORT, as well as certified and non-certified Surgical Technicians, are invited to apply for this contract opportunity. This position ensures surgical procedures run smoothly and safely by supporting surgeons, nurses, and fellow OR staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms, sterile instruments, and surgical equipment for a variety of procedures
  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures
  • Support surgical teams directly during operations with instruments and supplies as needed
  • Monitor and maintain proper counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Follow all infection control protocols and institutional safety standards
  • Perform pre- and post-operative tasks as directed, including room turnover and equipment sterilization
  • Communicate clearly with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Background in Nursing - ORT, Surgical Technology (certified or non-certified), or equivalent surgical services experience
  • Completion of a recognized surgical technician program or relevant on-the-job training preferred
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and dedication to teamwork
  • Adherence to ethical standards and strict patient confidentiality

    $1,620 - $1,763/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
