This contract opportunity is designed for experienced Operating Room Technicians (ORT) who excel in fast-paced, high-acuity settings and are motivated to deliver exceptional patient care within a Level 1 Trauma center.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
  • Includes call, weekends, and holidays
  • No block scheduling
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid certification and credentials as an OR Technician
  • Proven success as a traveler in previous healthcare assignments
  • Demonstrated experience working in Level 1 Trauma operating rooms
  • High proficiency and strong skills in surgical support and sterile technique
  • Burn unit experience is preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and best practices in perioperative care
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgical teams in high-acuity cases, scrubbing and circulating as required
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are available and functional
  • Facilitate patient positioning and serve as a resource for perioperative best practices
  • Support the entire surgical process, including intraoperative emergencies
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to procedures and instruments
  • Provide support and mentoring to less experienced staff when needed
