Qualifications & Experience:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required

Proven experience as an ORT or Certified Surgical Tech in a surgical setting

In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques

Familiarity with operating room procedures and safety protocols

Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are available and sterile

Assist surgical team members before, during, and after procedures, maintaining the sterile field

Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants as needed, following strict aseptic techniques

Handle specimens for laboratory analysis in accordance with facility protocols

Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical instruments and supplies

Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of equipment after procedures

Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times
