ProCare Therapy is partnering with a supportive school district in Somerville, ME, that is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with Dravet syndrome and Autism. This is a meaningful opportunity for an experienced RN to make a direct impact while collaborating closely with the student’s Ed Tech team and school staff.

What You’ll Be Doing
As the student’s 1:1 School Nurse, you’ll provide dedicated nursing support throughout the school day, ensuring a safe and supportive environment while following the student’s individualized medical plan.
Key responsibilities include:
Riding the bus to and from school with the student each day
Monitoring for seizure activity and following the student’s medical plan as needed
Supporting school staff with seizure response protocols
Advising staff on outdoor activities and temperature-related considerations due to the student’s temperature-triggered seizures
Completing nursing observations throughout the school day
Collaborating closely with the Ed Tech team and other school staff
Assisting with behavioral data collection when able (preferred, but not required)
Important: No seizures have occurred at school to date. Strong communication and collaboration with the Ed Tech team will be essential to this role.
Job Details
Location: Somerville, ME
Assignment: ASAP – June 10, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time
Hours: 37.5–40 hours per week
School Hours: 8:00 AM–2:30 PM
Expected Schedule with Transportation: Approximately 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
License Requirement: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
