Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide healthcare support within an elementary school setting in Whitney Point, NY. The LPN will play a vital role in promoting student wellness, managing routine health needs, and helping maintain a safe and healthy learning environment throughout the summer school program.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide routine nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
Monitor and assess student health concerns, chronic conditions, and medical needs
Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and documentation
Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers when appropriate
Assist with health screenings and support individualized healthcare plans
Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established school health protocols
Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment
Qualifications
Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Previous experience in pediatrics, school nursing, community health, or a related setting preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff

Compensation for this position ranges from $20.32 to $50.32. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
