The assignment runs Monday through Friday, 32 hours per week, from 7am to 2pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. You will become an integral part of the student's support network, helping her access her education safely and confidently.

What you'll bring:

  • Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license (consideration for CNA candidates with strong tube feeding skills)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
  • Comfort with tube feeding, flushes, and management of “blowouts”
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with school staff and the student’s family
  • Compassionate, patient, and able to adapt to the school environment
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and daily support for a high school student with medical needs
  • Perform tube feeds, flushes, and manage other specialized tasks as required
  • Monitor the student’s health status, documenting and reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parents to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation according to school and state guidelines
  • Assist in managing any emergencies promptly and professionally
