Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting high school students in a classroom nurse role from February 19th to May 21st. This assignment takes place in the Anderson, SC area, serving a dynamic high school environment where you’ll make a direct impact on student well-being.

As the designated nurse for a classroom with two students, one of whom uses a wheelchair, you’ll provide tailored, compassionate care. Responsibilities include daily health management, medication administration, and close monitoring for changes in condition. Experience with g-tube care and ventilator support is highly valued, as is a calm and responsive approach to student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid RN license required
  • Prior nursing experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Proven ability to work with students with complex medical needs
  • Knowledge of g-tube care and ventilator management (preferred, not required)
  • Certification in CPR/BLS
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, and families
  • Ability to document care accurately and efficiently
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to two high school students during classroom hours
  • Provide daily support for mobility, feeds/medication via g-tube, and respiratory assistance if necessary
  • Collaborate with educational and medical teams to facilitate optimal learning and health outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely health records in accordance with policies and HIPAA
  • Act as an advocate for student health needs
