As an RN skilled in ICU nursing, you’ll be responsible for supporting a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit, providing advanced clinical expertise to patients requiring critical and progressive care. The unit maintains an ICU nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 and a Step Down ratio of 3:1, ensuring safe and effective care.
You will also be asked to float to an affiliated sister unit as needed, caring for step down (SD) or progressive care patients at a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio, allowing for valuable experience across care settings. Weekend and holiday rotation is required, reflecting the essential nature of this role.
