Seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a 26-week contract at a psychiatric and behavioral health hospital. In this meaningful role, you will deliver direct care to patients receiving mental health treatment in a structured, secure environment. This opportunity is ideal for CNAs dedicated to clinical excellence and comfortable supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Schedule / Hours:

40 hours per week

Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Overtime may be available based on facility needs

Responsibilities:

Support patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, grooming, and meals

Observe, monitor, and document patient behaviors, mood changes, and any safety concerns

Facilitate and participate in therapeutic activities as directed by nursing staff

Promote a safe environment by following established behavioral health protocols

Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed

Communicate patient status to the interdisciplinary care team

Adhere strictly to policies covering confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards

Qualifications:

Active CNA certification meeting state requirements

Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings preferred

Ability to remain composed and professional during high-acuity or behavioral episodes

Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start

Successful completion of required background and drug screenings
