Seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a 26-week contract at a psychiatric and behavioral health hospital. In this meaningful role, you will deliver direct care to patients receiving mental health treatment in a structured, secure environment. This opportunity is ideal for CNAs dedicated to clinical excellence and comfortable supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Schedule / Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Overtime may be available based on facility needs
  • Responsibilities:

  • Support patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, grooming, and meals
  • Observe, monitor, and document patient behaviors, mood changes, and any safety concerns
  • Facilitate and participate in therapeutic activities as directed by nursing staff
  • Promote a safe environment by following established behavioral health protocols
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
  • Communicate patient status to the interdisciplinary care team
  • Adhere strictly to policies covering confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards
  • Qualifications:

  • Active CNA certification meeting state requirements
  • Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings preferred
  • Ability to remain composed and professional during high-acuity or behavioral episodes
  • Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • Successful completion of required background and drug screenings
