In Huntersville, you’ll have the chance to advance your professional breadth by engaging with a variety of clinical cases—ranging from post-op spinal surgery to complex neurological conditions—while learning from seasoned leadership teams in a teaching hospital setting. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7a–7p or 7p–7a
  • Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
  • Weekend rotation: every other
  • No on-call required
  • Holiday coverage: 75% expectation
  • Up to 6 days of approved time off (excluding holidays; must fulfill contracted hours)
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg/Tele experience (Resource Team)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Advanced skills in post-op neuro, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and complex medical device management
  • Proficient in pain management, spinal post-op care, and patient/family education
  • Ability to float within regional facilities as needed
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to exceptional patient care
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive RN care for patients with high-acuity diagnoses (stroke, spinal fusion, brain tumors, complex medical/surgical needs)
  • Manage patient ratios of 1:4–6 (with surge possible)
  • Collaborate closely with patient support services, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Interpret telemetry, initiate cardiac drips, manage a variety of drains/tubes, and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives
  • Educate patients/families and champion safety and preventive care protocols (CAUTI, HAPI, CLABSI, falls)
