Type: Travel Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Shift: Variable 8 hour shifts

Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Green Bay, WI. The role involves working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with a wide range of patient types including general, ortho, urology, ENT, plastics, IR, bronchs, cath lab, EP, eyes, cardiac, and vascular cases. You will float between the Main PACU and East PACU as needed. Experience in managing cardiac gtts, vented, and ICU patients is required. The position does not include call or weekend shifts and there are no holiday expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recover patients from anesthesia in the PACU, including phase I and II recovery
  • Manage and interpret cardiac strips, handle cardiac gtts, and care for vented and ICU patients
  • Perform IV starts, H&Ps, and surgical prep if floating to pre-op
  • Use EPIC for charting, and operate Alaris and Pyxis systems
  • Float between Main PACU and East PACU as needed, and may also assist in SDS and pre-op if skillset permits

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of PACU experience in a hospital setting
  • RN with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Ability to manage various patient types and recover patients across different surgical procedures
  • Experience with EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
