Travel Operating Room (OR) RN – Chicago, IL
Location: South Chicagoland
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (Start time between 5:30 AM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week. Weekend shifts only if outpatient cases are scheduled. No call or holiday requirements.

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced and compassionate OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment and gain experience in one of the nation’s most vibrant cities.

Position Overview:
As an OR RN, you will play a key role in providing safe, high-quality perioperative care to surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include preoperative assessments, intraoperative support, and collaboration with surgical teams to ensure successful outcomes. Floating to PACU may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments and implement individualized care plans

Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery

Ensure surgical safety and adherence to all hospital protocols

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Support discharge planning and post-op education

Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and patient safety measures

Qualifications:

Active RN license (IL or compact)

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience in an acute care setting

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills

Experience with pre/post-surgical care preferred
