Shift Details: 4-10 hour shifts

Weekend Rotation: Rotating on-call 

Holiday Requirements: As needed

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Travel Cath Lab RN to join our team in Elmhurst, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-paced, multi-specialty lab environment, with proficiency in Electrophysiology (EP), Catheterization (Cath), and Interventional Radiology (IR). This role demands strong clinical skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and the flexibility to handle on-call duties as needed. The Travel Cath Lab RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cath lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Monitor patient vitals and report any changes or concerns to the attending physician.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of lab equipment.
  • Administer medications and IV fluids as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency situations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • Proficiency in EP, Cath, and IR procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to handle rotating shifts, on-call duties, and holiday coverage as needed.

    Additional Information:

  • This is a travel position, requiring candidates to be flexible with their location and schedule.
  • The successful candidate must be able to respond to call-backs within 30 minutes.
  • This role requires a high level of experience and expertise due to the multi-specialty nature of the lab.
