Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California credential as a CSN, RN, or LVN
  • Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Proficient in conducting hearing and vision screenings
  • Caring, adaptable, and effective communicator with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to travel between schools as needed
  • Commitment to supporting students with a wide range of disabilities and health needs
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform hearing and vision screenings for students in accordance with state and district protocols
  • Collaborate with school nurses and administrative staff to coordinate screenings, maintain accurate documentation, and respond to student needs
  • Support the overall health and safety of students, addressing routine and urgent care under established procedures
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding student health matters
  • Adhere to California school health policies, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • This contract opportunity follows the district’s student calendar, offering approximately 6 hours each day through the end of the school year. Your nursing expertise will be appreciated as you help ensure every student in the district has equitable access to healthcare and support.
