Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid RN license in Maryland
  • Previous experience as an RN in schools or similar settings strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with adults with disabilities
  • Strong computer proficiency for documentation and care plan management
  • Expertise in triage nursing, nursing delegation, and leading health assessments
  • Skilled in conducting 45/90-day assessments, maintaining seizure logs, and G-tube feeding
  • Ability to train staff on safe lifting and medication administration
  • HRST (Health Risk Screening Tool) certification highly desirable
  • Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough nursing assessments and update individualized care plans
  • Support daily health needs by triaging situations and providing direct nursing interventions
  • Delegate tasks as appropriate, maintaining clear communication with support personnel
  • Attend team meetings and participate actively in collaborative care discussions
  • Train staff on healthcare protocols, safe patient handling, and the administration of medications
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including assessments and seizure logs
  • Utilize electronic health record systems and digital tools for reporting and tracking
  • This full-time contract position delivers approximately 37.5 hours each week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM; Tuesday and Friday from 8:30AM to 4:00PM.
