This full-time position runs from ASAP through early June, with evening shifts available Sunday through Thursday from 3:00pm–11:00pm.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN license with an active certification
  • Valid BLS certification required
  • PA state clearances up to date and in good standing
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated empathy and professionalism when working with students with visual impairments

    • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage healthcare needs for blind students within the school environment
  • Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and monitoring student health status
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to ensure individualized healthcare plans are followed
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and provide crisis intervention if necessary
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
  • Participate in team meetings, both virtual and onsite as part of the hiring and ongoing collaboration process
