Job Title: Full-Time School Registered Nurse

Position Overview:
Soliant is seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide full-time, 1-on-1 care for a student with specialized medical needs. The nurse will be based primarily at a school site in Harrisville, RI, with responsibilities focused on maintaining the health and well-being of one student throughout the school day.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to one assigned student, including medication administration and routine medical monitoring
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid or support as needed
Communicate regularly with school staff, families, and external healthcare providers to support the student’s care plan
Document health updates and nursing activities in compliance with school district policies and HIPAA regulations
Support the student’s full participation in educational activities as medically appropriate
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or prior experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students
Experience in pediatric, school, or 1:1 nursing settings
Ability to remain calm and act effectively in emergency situations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Required Credentials:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island
Current CPR/First Aid certification (BLS preferred)
Successful completion of a background check
