School Nurse (RN) Role Available Chicago, IL

Deliver first aid, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, allergies)

Develop, implement, and update Health Care Plans and Individualized Health Plans (IHPs)

Conduct mandated screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and ensure immunization compliance

Respond to medical emergencies, perform CPR, and coordinate follow-up care with community providers

Maintain thorough electronic health records and complete all required state documentation

Provide health education and guidance to students, staff, and parents on wellness topics

Required Credentials:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Active Illinois RN State or Compact License

Illinois School Nurse Certification (or eligibility for endorsement)

Current CPR and BLS certifications

Familiarity with Illinois School Code health requirements and pediatric/adolescent care

Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

Position Details:

Location: Chicago, IL 

Environment: Public K–12 school health office

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (approximately 7:30 AM–3:30 PM)
