We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled School-Based Registered Nurse to join our team and contribute to our goal of promoting the health and well-being of our students.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced School-Based Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care and support to students within our school district. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing student health needs, providing first aid and emergency care, and collaborating with staff and parents to support each student’s health and educational success.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Health Management: Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including administering medications, performing health assessments, and managing chronic health conditions. Develop and implement individualized health plans in collaboration with students, parents, and healthcare providers.
  • Emergency Care: Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care as needed. Maintain up-to-date emergency procedures and ensure that all staff are trained in basic first aid and emergency protocols.
  • Health Education: Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. Promote healthy behaviors and provide guidance on managing health conditions within the school setting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to support the health and well-being of students. Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of health policies and procedures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student health information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and incident reports. Prepare reports for school administration and comply with health regulations and standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in school nursing and healthcare. Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
  • Experience: Experience as a registered nurse, with experience in a school setting or working with children preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
