Job Title: School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with Pediatric Trach Experience - Contract Position

ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with pediatric trach care experience for a full-time contract position in Stoneham, MA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a school setting, providing essential care to students with tracheostomies. As a School LPN, you will ensure that students with medical needs receive the appropriate care, enabling them to participate fully in their educational experience in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric students with tracheostomies, including suctioning, monitoring, and performing emergency interventions as necessary.

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by a physician.

  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with trach care needs.

  • Monitor students' vital signs, health conditions, and respond promptly to any changes.

  • Educate school staff on pediatric trach care, emergency response procedures, and other medical protocols.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential health records for all students, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations.

  • Respond to medical emergencies quickly and provide appropriate care as required.

    Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in Massachusetts.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN, with a strong background in pediatric trach care.

  • Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals.

  • Ability to respond efficiently and effectively to medical emergencies.
