School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with Pediatric Trach Experience - ProCare Therapy
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with pediatric trach care experience for a full-time contract position in Stoneham, MA. This role involves providing direct medical support to students with specialized healthcare needs in a school setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring student safety and collaborating with school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to students with tracheostomies, including suctioning, monitoring, and emergency interventions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with complex medical needs.
Monitor and document students’ vital signs and overall health, reporting any concerns promptly.
Work closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
Educate school personnel on emergency procedures and trach care protocols.
Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
Respond to medical emergencies quickly and effectively.
Requirements:
Active LPN license in Massachusetts.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN, with hands-on experience in pediatric trach care.
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations with confidence.
