You'll primarily work with an ambulatory, independent male student who requires ongoing seizure monitoring, as well as verbal prompts to support daily activities. No direct hands-on care is necessary, and medication management is overseen by the school nurse. • Background working with students with autism or developmental differences is a plus
  • Strong verbal communication skills to provide frequent prompts and support
  • Ability to maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Accompany and supervise the student during community-based activities, focusing on safety and prompt monitoring for seizure activity
  • Administer emergency medication as needed and respond swiftly to health concerns
  • Serve as a reliable point of support, offering positive verbal encouragement to foster student independence
  • Collaborate with supervisors and the school nurse to ensure seamless care, updating on the student’s status as appropriate
  • Adapt to a variable weekly schedule, typically between 2 and 4 days, with hours approximately 8:30am–2:00pm
  • This contract position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in a student’s school and community engagement throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
