Job Title: School-Based Registered Nurse (RN)  
- Experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are welcome to apply 


Location: Sudbury, MA Area

School Year: 2024-2025

Employment Type: Full-Time (Up to 32.5 Hours/Week), Onsite 

Pay Scale: $35-44/hour

Caseload: K-12, duties may vary 

Schedule: 8:20 AM - 2:30 PM 


Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts - Experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are welcome to apply 
  • Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting preferred).
  • Experience with disability accommodations (i.e. G-tube, tracheostomy, or seizure accommodations) preferred 
  • Experience assessing neurological status preferred 
  • Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Reliable transportation required 


    Responsibilities:

  • Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
  • Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Provide accommodations for students with disabilities as needed per school's requirements 
  • Ride bus to and from school and/or field trips with students as needed
