Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital support as a Certified School Nurse. This 12-week maternity leave assignment runs from December 14, 2026, through March 15, 2027. The role is full-time and will include coverage at two school buildings: a high school (Monday-Wednesday, 7:00 am–2:30 pm) and an elementary school (Thursday-Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm). Consistency in adhering to these school hours is essential.

Your expertise will benefit students directly in each school's health office, while your collaboration in IEP meetings will have a meaningful impact on special needs students. This position offers the chance to make a positive difference for students and school communities alike.

What You’ll Need:

  • Active Illinois license as a Certified School Nurse
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Demonstrated experience in school nursing, especially with health office management
  • Background supporting both general student populations and students with special needs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in team settings
  • Commitment to fulfilling assignment through the outlined dates
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering health services and care to students
  • Managing daily operations of health offices at both schools
  • Participating in IEP meetings for students requiring special accommodations
