School Based 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) - Somerville, ME
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for the 2026–2027 school year in Somerville, ME. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to provide dedicated one-on-one nursing support to a student while working closely with the student's educational and transportation team.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
37.5–40 Hours per Week
Dates: August 2026 – June 2027
School Hours: 8:00 AM–2:30 PM
Likely Schedule with Transportation: 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
7.5 Hours per Day
Schedule may be flexible due to bus transportation
Qualifications:
Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) License required
Previous school-based or pediatric nursing experience preferred
Experience with seizure monitoring and response protocols preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to the student throughout the school day
Ride to and from school with the student each day
Monitor for seizure activity and follow the student's medical plan as needed
Support school staff with seizure response protocols
Advise staff regarding outdoor activity considerations related to temperature-triggered seizures
Complete nursing observations throughout the school day
Collaborate with the student's dedicated 1:1 Educational Technician supporting activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist with behavioral data collection when able; preferred but not required
Maintain appropriate nursing documentation and communication
