Advance your emergency nursing expertise with a contract opportunity in a high-acuity, Level II Trauma setting, recognized for functioning at Level I standards. This position is ideal for RNs experienced with Cerner or EPIC and seasoned in fast-paced environments. Schedule / Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Every other weekend or 4 weekend days per block schedule cycle
  • No on-call required
  • One major and one minor holiday coverage (per policy)
  • 13-week contract (7/20/26 – 10/17/26)
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license and two years of Level II Trauma ER experience (first-time travelers considered with recent Cerner/EPIC and Level II or higher trauma experience)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and Secure/CPI certifications required
  • Proficient in trach/vent care, ICU drips, art line, chest tubes, CVL, PICC, midline, port, orthopedic devices, and advanced airway techniques
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Responsibilities:

  • Manage care for adult and pediatric patients with trauma, STEMI, STROKE, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, and psychiatric emergencies
  • Demonstrate proficiency in advanced ER procedures and monitoring
  • Collaborate effectively with ED support staff, including CNAs, HUCs, charge nurses, and phlebotomy teams
  • Document care using Cerner EMR and ensure accurate medication administration with Omnicell
  • Maintain patient safety and quality care within recommended ratios: 1:4 (ER), 1:5 (MS Holds), 1:3 (ICU Holds)
