Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time position in school districts in the Kansas City, MO area. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive educational team and make a difference in students' lives by providing essential health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and health assessments to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications and manage students with chronic health conditions.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and CPR as needed.
  • Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student health.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students.
  • Educate students and staff about health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations within the school setting.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual health plans (IHPs) for students with special health care needs.

    Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in Missouri.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health care plans and medical conditions affecting children.
