We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in PACU care for a contract role, providing critical support to patients as they recover from anesthesia after surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a PACU or similar post-anesthesia setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PACU procedures and protocols
  • Ability to monitor, assess, and respond to patients’ evolving needs during post-operative recovery
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Schedule:

  • Working hours and shifts to be discussed during the interview process
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring airway patency, vital sign stability, and overall safety
  • Provide rapid assessment and intervention as needed for post-operative complications or adverse reactions
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to facilitate efficient patient recovery and transition to subsequent units or discharge
  • Educate patients and their families regarding the recovery process, post-operative care instructions, and medication management
  • Accurately document all patient information, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment consistent with best practices and facility protocols
