Key qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) nursing experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Detailed knowledge of post-operative patient assessment and care
  • Strong IV skills, medication administration competence, and emergency response ability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated compassion, organizational skills, and adaptability

    • Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide vigilant monitoring and skilled nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
  • Assess and document patient responses, vital signs, and pain management effectiveness
  • Respond promptly to condition changes, reporting and escalating concerns as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
  • Support physicians and anesthesia providers in care planning and execution
  • Ensure recovery area is prepared, stocked, and equipped for optimal patient safety
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols and regulatory compliance standards
