Step into a specialized nursing role focused on interventional radiology within an outpatient radiology setting. This contract assignment is designed for experienced RNs who excel in IR environments and are ready to contribute advanced clinical skills in a dynamic team.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • 13-week contract
  • No local candidates within a 50-mile radius

    • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' nursing experience within the interventional radiology specialty
  • Active RN license
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Proven experience in interventional radiology (IR)
  • Skilled in regulatory measures related to outpatient radiology and special procedures
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

    • Responsibilities:

  • Perform specialized nursing duties within outpatient radiology, specifically managing CT Coronary exams
  • Closely monitor and regulate heart rates for patients undergoing procedures
  • Administer medications—such as nitroglycerin or agents to manage cardiac rhythms—as prescribed
  • Assess patient status continuously throughout procedures and intervene promptly when changes occur
  • Collaborate closely with the IR team, physicians, and radiology staff to ensure procedural safety and patient comfort
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of care provided during IR special procedures
  • Educate and support patients and families regarding procedural processes
