Contract School Nurse - Part Time

ProCare Therapy is working with a school district located in Bellingham, WA that is looking to hire a part time RN for the remainder of the school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.

The selected candidate will be hired on as a part time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation and weekly paychecks.


Details:

  • Part time: 2 days per week 
  • K-12th grade
  • Health office school nurse
  • Responsibilities may include: diabetic care, medication administration, first aide, triage, allergies, asthma, communicating with staff and parents.


    Responsibilities: 

  • Administer prescribed medications according to physician and parent/guardian instructions.
  • Monitor students with chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizures) and provide necessary care.
  • Perform specialized medical procedures such as tube feedings, catheterization, and insulin administration as needed.
  • Conduct vision, hearing, scoliosis, and other health screenings as required.
  • Monitor student immunization compliance per state and district guidelines.
  • Educate students and staff on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.


    Requirements:

  • Active RN licensed in Washington
  • Washington OSPI required
  • Washington ESA certification or willing to apply
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing
  • CPR & BLS certified
  • Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

     

    Interview Process:

  • 10 –15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
  • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
  • Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
