Work alongside a highly skilled surgical team in a dynamic, 7-room inpatient/outpatient operating suite during a 13-week assignment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care within a modern perioperative environment and offers valuable experience scrubbing for specialty cases, including eye procedures and trauma. Certified surgical technologists and qualified operating room nurses will play a critical part in providing seamless, safe procedures for patients.

Schedule:

  • Five 8-hour shifts per week
  • Mids: 11:45am – 7:45pm
  • Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or relevant Nursing – ORT credentials
  • Active BLS certification
  • Demonstrated experience with ophthalmic cases—scrubbing posterior eye and assisting with eye trauma preferred
  • Proficiency with the Davinci XI robotic system is required
  • Ability to float between operating departments in main OR and satellite 7-room unit as needed
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical setting
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment before, during, and after procedures
  • Scrub for a range of surgical cases, with special emphasis on ophthalmic surgeries and trauma
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and safely manage surgical instruments and equipment
  • Support team by floating to different rooms if needed, based on departmental demands
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesia, and surgical staff to ensure optimal outcomes
