Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a supportive school district in the Waltham, MA area. This full-time role is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate RN to make a meaningful impact on students’ health and well-being.

Responsibilities

As a School Registered Nurse, you will:

  • Provide direct care to students, managing chronic and acute health conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policies.
  • Conduct health screenings, including vision and hearing tests.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as a resource for health-related concerns, offering guidance to students, staff, and families.
  • Implement and educate on safety protocols, infection control, and emergency response plans.

    Qualifications

    Educational and Certification Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Compliance with all state and district requirements, including background checks.

    Skills and Experience:

  • Previous nursing experience in a school setting or with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Knowledge of student health services, including chronic illness management and emergency care.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
