Deliver compassionate nursing care on a dynamic 25-bed medical-surgical unit known for its commitment to clinical excellence and team collaboration. Work in a modern environment featuring advanced equipment such as Sara Steady, wound vacs, telehealth, virtual sitter technology, and remote telemetry. Documentation is streamlined through Meditech, ensuring efficiency and quality care.

Schedule:

  • Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Flexible weekday scheduling

    • Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Strong assessment skills and experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
  • Proficient in IV and Foley catheter placement
  • Current BLS certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale and CPI certification preferred
  • Effective communication and commitment to patient satisfaction through practices like hourly rounding
  • Comfortable floating between medical-surgical units as needed
  • Familiarity with supporting roles: collaborating with unit secretaries, patient care techs, and interdisciplinary teams

    • Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse adult population
  • Administer and monitor medications using Pyxis
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, document care in Meditech, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
  • Collaborate with secretaries and PCTs to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Participate in hourly rounding and best safety practices to support positive patient experiences
  • Float on a PRN basis between medical-surgical units, adapting to changing patient needs
