Are you a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) seeking a rewarding opportunity to provide vital care to students in a supportive school environment? Soliant Education is looking for you!

We are seeking a qualified LPN to join our team in the friendly Rock Tavern, NY area! This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of students by providing one-on-one care and supporting their overall well-being within a school setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide direct patient care to students with a variety of medical needs on a one-on-one basis.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform basic medical procedures as delegated by a registered nurse or physician.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the school nurse and healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting student needs and success within the learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and healthcare professionals regarding student health and well-being.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy school environment by following infection control protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school nursing and pediatric care.

    Qualifications:

  • Active New York State LPN license.
  • Prior experience working with children in a healthcare or school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric healthcare, medication administration, and basic nursing skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a focus on providing care in a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and work independently within a collaborative setting.
  • Proficiency in documentation and medical recordkeeping.
