Licensed Practical Nurse

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric students with tracheostomies, including suctioning, monitoring, and emergency interventions when necessary.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.

Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with trach care needs.

Monitor students' vital signs, health conditions, and provide timely responses to any changes in their condition.

Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure that students' medical needs are met.

Educate school staff on pediatric trach care, emergency protocols, and other medical procedures as needed.

Maintain detailed, confidential health records and documentation in compliance with school policies.

Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide immediate care when required.

Requirements:

Active LPN license in Massachusetts.

At least 2 years of experience as an LPN, with significant experience in pediatric trach care.

Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency medical situations.
