Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic surgical team in Kansas City, MO. This role involves providing excellent perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, and working collaboratively with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest quality surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for surgery, including preoperative assessments and patient education.
  • Maintain a sterile operating room environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating their needs and managing instruments and equipment.
  • Monitor patients' conditions during surgery and respond promptly to changes.
  • Document surgical procedures, patient responses, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and recovery room staff for seamless patient care.
  • Support post-operative care and ensure proper transition to recovery units.
  • Uphold best practices in patient safety, privacy, and care standards.

    Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Strong understanding of sterile and aseptic techniques.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure surgical environment.
