Contract Registered Nurse - 1:1 School Nurse

ProCare Therapy is working with a school district located in Gig Harbor, WA that is looking to hire a 1:1 Registered Nurse for the 2025-2026 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.

The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and superior healthcare benefits through United Healthcare


Schedule

  • Full time: 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 7:30 - 3:30
  • 1:1 school nurse
  • RN will be responsible for providing 1:1 medical care to assigned student throughout the school day
  • RN may be required to ride the bus in the morning and afternoon with student
  • Responsibilities may include but not limited to: seizure monitoring, g-tube care, trach care, asthma, medication administration, diapering/changing, wheelchair assistance, etc.

     

    Requirements

  • Active RN license in Washington
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Washington OSPI fingerprints
  • CPR & BLS certified
  • Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

    Interview Process

  • 10 –15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
  • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
  • Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
