Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a 1:1 position in Encinitas, CA, for the 2024/2025 school year. This full-time role involves providing dedicated care to a medically complex student, including managing a trach, oxygen needs, and other specialized medical requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Care: Provide continuous medical support for a medically complex student during school hours.
  • Medical Management: Oversee and manage the student’s trach, oxygen, and other essential medical needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with school staff, healthcare professionals, and the student’s family to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Safety & Well-being: Ensure the student’s safety and well-being throughout the school day, adapting to any changes in their condition.

    Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must have an active California RN or LVN license.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with medically complex patients, especially children, is required.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
