ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, 1:1 position in Yorktown, VA, for the 2024/2025 school year. This role involves providing specialized care to a student with a tracheostomy, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Location: Yorktown, VA
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday
  • Duration: 2024/2025 school year
  • Caseload: 1:1 with a student requiring trach care

    Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
  • Experience with tracheostomy care is required
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

    Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 medical care and monitoring for a student with a tracheostomy throughout the school day
  • Ensure the student’s trach is functioning properly and respond promptly to any medical needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, healthcare providers, and the student's family to create a safe and supportive environment
  • Document and report any changes in the student’s condition or care needs
