Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a 13-week contract in Norfolk, VA with our partnered Home Health agency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality patient care in a home-based setting. This position requires proficiency in Homecare Homebase software.

Contract Details: 

  • Hiring Company: Sunbelt Staffing
  • Client: Nationwide Home Health agency 
  • Location: Norfolk, VA 
  • Type: Contract (13 weeks)
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm) 
  • Productivity: 25-32 per week 
  • Additional Hours: Occasional weekends and on-call (typically one weekend per month)
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) after 90 days, .48c Mileage Reimbursement, Weekly Pay
  • Compensation: Negotiable hourly rate based on territory budget and experience
  • Travelers: Blended pay packages with stipends available

    Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct in-home patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in coordination with the hospice team.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Complete all necessary documentation using Homecare Homebase software.
  • Provide patient and family education to promote understanding of hospice care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to coordinate care and discuss patient needs.

    Requirements: 

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 1 year of hospice experience.
  • Proficiency in OASIS and Homecare Homebase software.
  • Reliable transportation for home visits.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Please Note: Due to this being a contract opportunity with limited training, one year of experience and proficiency in Oasis and Homecare Homebase are required.
