Sunbelt Staffing is partnering with a reputable home health agency to hire a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Birmingham, AL. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend and on-call responsibilities (typically one weekend per month). We’re seeking an experienced home health nurse who is confident in OASIS documentation and proficient in Homecare Homebase (HCHB).

Job Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric patients in their homes
  • Conduct thorough assessments using Oasis documentation
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, wound care, and other prescribed treatments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient needs are met
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes and self-care techniques
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Homecare Homebase
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and protocols

    Requirements:

  • Active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Active American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of home health experience with geriatric patients
  • Proficiency in Oasis and Homecare Homebase
  • Oasis Certified strongly preferred 
  • Reliable transportation
  • Completion of Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer
