Charge RN – Emergency Department
Location: Ithaca, NY
Contract-to-Perm: 13 Weeks

Key Details:

  • Certifications Required: PALS, ACLS, BLS
  • Preferred: CPI, NIH, TNCC, ENPC
  • Floating Potential: Rarely to Med/Surg or ICU

    Role Summary:
    The Charge RN coordinates patient flow, staff assignments, and collaborates with EMS, triage, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient operations. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills are essential.

    Department Highlights:

  • 29-bed ED (including psych-safe and hall beds)
  • Staff-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1 based on acuity
  • Accredited Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center
  • Dedicated case manager, social worker, and crisis evaluators
