An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract position calls for a skilled nurse to work in a dynamic, high-volume hospital environment, providing essential support during cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 13-week contract

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience preferred
  • Proficient with cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases of cardiovascular surgeries
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
  • Monitor patient status and vital signs, quickly recognizing and responding to changes
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile field protocols
  • Document all aspects of care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining supplies, equipment, and instruments for CVOR cases
  • Serve as a resource for other staff, fostering a supportive team environment
