A skilled Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to support Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate expertise in perioperative care, specifically in the cardiovascular surgical setting. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and focused on delivering high-quality patient care during every stage of the surgical process.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CVOR RN (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with surgical teams, anesthesia, and support staff
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
  • Detail oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

    • Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment in compliance with hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to emergencies with confidence and competence
  • Circulate and/or scrub as needed for CVOR surgical procedures
  • Document all interventions accurately within the patient’s medical record
  • Advocate for patient needs throughout the surgical experience
