Location: Near Hamburg, NY
Job Type: Part-Time, Contract (Approx. 20 hours/week; 4 hours/day)
Start Date: Monday, July 7
Program: Extended School Year (ESY)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 medical support for a student attending an out-of-district school. This is a part-time summer position with the opportunity to continue into the 2025–2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Ride the bus with the student to and from school
Monitor and respond to complex medical needs during transport and school hours
Provide tracheostomy care, including suctioning and monitoring
Manage feeding tube care if needed
Communicate with school staff and parents as necessary regarding student health
Qualifications:
Active LPN or RN license in New York State
Prior experience with medically complex children required
Comfortable with trach monitoring and tube suctioning
School nursing or pediatric experience preferred
