1:1 Registered Nurse Position Now Open

Student Health Management: Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions. Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures in a school setting.

Health Education: Educate students, teachers, and staff on health-related topics, including disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and proper first aid. Promote health awareness and support the development of healthy habits among students.

Emergency Care: Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to students in case of accidents or sudden health issues. Ensure that emergency protocols are followed and communicate effectively with parents and emergency services as needed.

Health Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students, including immunization records, health screenings, and incident reports. Ensure that all documentation complies with school policies and state regulations.

Collaborative Support: Work closely with school administrators, counselors, and other educational staff to support the overall well-being of students. Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of school health policies and programs.

Parental Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's health status, necessary accommodations, and any health-related concerns. Provide guidance and support to families as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Licensure: Valid RN license for the state of Washington is required.

Experience: Prior experience in a school setting or working with children is highly desirable. Familiarity with school health regulations and procedures is a plus.

Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and healthy school environment.
